About Bradshaw Law LLC

Experienced Legal Team

John Bradshaw has been practicing patent, trademark, and intellectual property law in the Indianapolis area since 1999, after graduating at the top of his class at IU McKinney School of Law.  He is a longtime Hoosier, graduating from Cathedral High School and the University of Notre Dame (lettering in both boxing and tennis), and a short-time Gator, with an MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida.

Throughout his legal career, he has drawn on his unique background in STEM fields to serve clients across the nation, including individuals and small firms, Fortune 500 companies, national laboratories, and universities.  His patent prosecution experience ranges from medicine (implants, catheters) to physics (gas and diesel engines, fuel cells, optical and acoustic sensors) to electronics (VNAs, TV broadcasting), and his trademark practice includes an exciting stint representing the exclusive provider of on-field apparel for Major League Baseball through its acquisition by VF Corporation.

Since forming Bradshaw Law LLC in 2016, John has proudly served as the IP counsel on the legal team that won the largest contested jury award in Indiana history and then successfully defended that award through all appeals, including two petitions for certiorari to the U.S. Supreme Court.

When he is not practicing law, you might find him playing tennis or board games, camping, or butchering the saxophone or piano to the amusement of his wife and four children.

He is now taking on new clients and welcomes co-counsel and referral opportunities.
